Percentage Decrease Calculation Guide
Percentage decrease measures the rate of decline from an initial value to a lower value, or calculates the remaining balance after deducting a percentage.
Mathematical Formulas
Mode 1: Percentage Decrease Between Two Values
Percentage Decrease (%) = [(V₁ - V₂) / V₁] × 100%
Example: A price drops from 80:
((100 - 80) / 100) × 100 = 20% decrease
Mode 2: Subtract a Percentage from a Number
Reduction Amount = V₁ × (P / 100)
Final Value = V₁ - Reduction Amount
Final Value = V₁ - Reduction Amount
Example: Deduct 25% from 200:
Reduction = 200 × 0.25 = 50 → Final = 200 - 50 = 150
